Welcome
Hi everyone, Who said the sky was our limit? We can now boast of having over 5000 visitors to our website since May 2006. Thank you to all who have supported us and keep up the good work! If you have any questions concerning this website or have any information for us please email us at info@scottishbowlscoaching.co.uk. Thank you for taking the time to visit us and do come back soon. Graham Robertson (National Director) and the Regional Supervisors October 2007 .... Graham Robertson pays tribute to the late Sandy Wood. See Notice Board (next page). Dedication at its best!!! (July 06) Ian Durie (Regional Coach now Regional Supervisor) in North of Scotland has just submitted a further 3 applications from bowlers wishing to be trained as club coaches. If these applicants proceed to attain their badge, then "every bowling club" in Sutherland, Caithness, Orkney and Shetland will be able to boast of having a club coach and it will have been down to the long distance travelling around the northern most points of Scotland and some new tyres in to the bargain, not to mention the ferry trips to the Northern Isles, but most of all the sincere tenacity and commitment of Ian and his dedicated approach to the sport in the name of coaching. ......... Can anyone match or better this fantastic venture or does any coach have any ventures of their own that you would be happy for us to highlight! Special Mentions : Congratulations to coach Kay Moran of Crookston Bowling Club on attaining the Silver medal at the Commonwealth games in Australia. Congratulations to Lynsey Nisbet of East Lothian, Gaynor Blair of Midlothian and Michelle Cooper of Ardrossan. They are all under 25 Junior Internationalists who have just received their full international caps and are playing at Sunderland in the Home internationals with their player/coach/mentor, Cecilia Smith. Cecilia of East Fife indoor was involved with the coaching sessions of the Junior Internationlists at Coatbridge indoor earlier in the year.
